This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Formulate portfolio P&L strategies tailored to our Product offerings that align with the diverse requirements of state insurance departments.
• Work closely with our MGA Product Teams to transform local product concepts into a cohesive global product strategy aimed at maximizing profitability.
• Evaluate product and portfolio P&L outcomes, identify opportunities, assess performance metrics for new products, and analyze initiative results to drive changes to the products or strategies.
• Collaborate with various teams to establish long-term roadmaps that enhance product, state, and operational objectives.
• Assess product and pricing opportunities in relation to strategic goals and priorities.
• Lead initiatives focused on portfolio profitability and growth, including targeting optimal customer segments within the designated domain.
• Participate in the formulation of company objectives and strategies to meet established goals.
• Assist in the development of new products and state-specific launches in coordination with the Product CoE and Administrators.
• Demonstrate expertise and intuition in incorporating intangible factors into decision-making processes.
• Recognized as a subject matter expert in Insurance Portfolio management.
• Develop structured data insights from various sources to guide strategic decisions.
• Utilize market intelligence resources such as S&P Global and Ratefilings.com to inform strategic direction.
• Potentially oversee Product Analyst(s) who facilitate state strategies and portfolio analysis requirements.
• Employ GLM or other Data Science model outputs to guide factor selections, strategic directions, or prioritize innovative initiatives.
• Collaborate and influence Actuarial and Underwriting teams to pinpoint relevant portfolio perspectives, profit opportunities, and emerging trends to enhance performance and mitigate risk.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent professional experience.
• Generally requires over 7 years of experience in insurance pricing, underwriting, and/or product performance.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct Product Management experience is preferred.
• Leadership experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge or experience in Veterinary or Animal Health (specifically dogs and cats) is highly desirable.
• Capability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data to support informed product decision-making.
• Proficiency with technical tools such as SQL, Snowflake, or Databricks for data gathering and analysis.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and analyses to internal stakeholders.
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
