This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Develop and showcase in-depth customer and domain knowledge, demonstrating empathy for your area(s) within the CodeAI product.
• Establish product strategy, objectives, roadmaps, and success metrics centered on tangible classroom impact.
• Create engaging, appropriately sized features and draft precise requirements documents that direct development and align stakeholders.
• Oversee the cross-functional development and comprehensive delivery of intricate, multifaceted products and features, collaborating with engineering, design, teaching and learning, and data teams.
• Perform user research with educators and contextual inquiries with students; distill insights into clear product choices.
• Balance qualitative feedback with quantitative indicators to make informed trade-offs, determining when to persist, pivot, or cease activities, utilizing data to evaluate success beyond superficial metrics.
• Recognize risks to timelines, proactively communicate them to stakeholders, and suggest solutions that align with business objectives.
• Articulate strategy, roadmap, status, and progress toward goals, effectively communicating with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, leadership, and your development team(s).
• Collaborate with engineering to lead product development teams, upholding high standards for product quality and usability while addressing technical constraints.
• Advocate for CodeAI's mission by integrating equity, accessibility, and classroom practicality into product decisions, and actively contribute to CodeAI's values, practices, and culture.
• Over 6 years of product management experience, or an equivalent history of delivering customer-focused, data-driven products.
• Proven success in transforming abstract ideas into launched products alongside design, engineering, and other teams, adapting based on user feedback.
• Proficiency in customer development and qualitative research, along with expertise in using product, market, and customer data to inform product decisions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster alignment and clarity through writing in a remote, asynchronous team setting.
• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration, including the ability to build and maintain relationships across teams and organizations while coordinating efforts without formal authority.
• Technical fluency that enables sound product decisions for developer-oriented tools and deep collaboration with engineering.
• Proven ability to work with a high degree of independence and sound judgment in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
• A proactive mindset - comfortable initiating, iterating, and learning rather than waiting for perfect information.
• Intellectual curiosity regarding emerging trends in education, technology, and AI, with a history of proactively staying ahead instead of waiting for direction.
• Comfort with risk-taking and a positive perspective on failure as part of the learning process.
