Senior Product Manager – API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the planning and implementation of product initiatives from inception to launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics.

• Acquire an in-depth understanding of the Auto Repair sector to effectively identify new product opportunities for our primary users.

• Integrate a profound comprehension of the problem landscape with generative AI solutions to enhance customer efficiency and effectiveness.

• Thoroughly understand our primary users’ Jobs To Be Done (JTBD), incorporating concept testing and usability testing into a responsive development cycle.

• Collaborate with design, engineering, product marketing, and sales teams to synchronize on product vision, strategy, go-to-market plans, pricing, packaging, and business priorities.

• Ensure that products address users’ unmet needs while minimizing business risks related to value, feasibility, and usability.

• Develop products with a focus on business outcomes, then assess whether those outcomes have been achieved.

• Articulate and communicate the long-term vision of the product area you oversee, translating it into actionable roadmaps.

• Train sales, support, and consulting teams on new technologies, equipping them to sell, troubleshoot, and utilize them effectively.

• Define and lead the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for Tekmetric's API as a standalone product — including developer experience, versioning, and partner enablement.

• Treat the API as a catalyst for growth; identify integration opportunities with third-party platforms and partners, working closely with sales and partnerships to broaden the API ecosystem.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in product management, ideally in enterprise-level software-as-a-service.

• Proven experience in owning and delivering API products — including defining API contracts, engaging with developer audiences, and managing the entire API lifecycle (versioning, deprecation, documentation, and partner onboarding).

• At least 2 years of experience in bringing GAI or ML solutions to market.

• Practical experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, FullStory, Heap, Pendo) is preferred.

• A pragmatic leader with a growth mindset, capable of steering both strategy and rapid execution.

• Ability to build business cases, validate hypotheses, and scale features from conception to market readiness.

• A passion for continuous optimization and enhancement, with a strong focus on customer experience.

• Proven ability to influence peers across cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed and global organizational setting.

• Strong executive presence and exceptional communication skills.
