This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the product roadmap within A2A by maintaining a prioritized backlog, providing a clear rationale for each decision, and developing a delivery plan that the team can successfully execute.
• Identify and prioritize features based on partner requirements, transaction data, competitive insights, and business impact.
• Ensure the continuity of existing commitments to Dwolla customers while also contributing to NMI integration milestones—striking a balance between business-as-usual stability and forward momentum.
• Create clear and detailed product requirements along with acceptance criteria; facilitate scoping sessions with Engineering to ensure a mutual understanding and avoid surprises.
• Lead product discovery efforts through customer interviews, partner feedback sessions, competitive analysis, and data review—then consolidate findings into a coherent perspective.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire A2A payment lifecycle—covering funds flow, return handling, exception processing, reconciliation, and Reg-E obligations—and design products that are robust from start to finish.
• Collaborate with Engineering on technical design choices, highlighting trade-offs and advocating for scalable solutions rather than just shippable ones.
• Establish success metrics for each initiative, monitor them after launch, and share insights with the team.
• Raise awareness of A2A capabilities among internal teams, aiding Sales and Partner Success in understanding when and how to promote bank-direct payment solutions.
• Work with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Payment Operations to ensure that products are compliant and operationally sound prior to launch.
• Facilitate go-to-market efforts: partner with product marketing, sales, and customer success to encourage the adoption of new capabilities.
• Actively utilize AI tools in your workflow for discovery synthesis, specification drafting, hypothesis generation, and competitive research, and enhance your team's efficiency.
• Represent the product with authority and clarity in customer workshops, partner calls, and internal stakeholder reviews.
• Contribute to team OKRs; engage in quarterly planning and take ownership of your results.
• Minimum of 5 years in product management, with at least 3 years in payments or financial services.
• Practical experience with A2A payment products—such as ACH, RTP, FedNow, push-to-card, or open banking—demonstrating a thorough understanding of how the rails function, not just their applications.
• Proven ability to independently manage and deliver complex payment products from discovery through to launch.
• Strong commercial acumen—recognizing how product decisions influence revenue, partner growth, and merchant volume.
• Extensive experience working directly with customers and partners to define challenges, validate solutions, and establish feedback mechanisms.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering on the design of payment systems: including funds flows, ledger logic, settlement, reconciliation, and return handling.
• Background working within or alongside an acquired product team, managing integration priorities while fulfilling existing customer obligations.
• Demonstrated ability to use data-driven insights for prioritizing tasks, measuring impact, and quickly adjusting course as needed.
• Outstanding execution skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
• Proficient with AI tools for product-related tasks—leveraging them to accelerate processes and enhance output quality.
• Excellent communication skills: able to write clearly, conduct effective meetings, and articulate technical payment concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A remote-first culture!
• Competitive compensation and benefits.
• Opportunities for personal growth and advancement.
• Flexible PTO and dedicated sick leave.
• 13 Paid Holidays.
