This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of selecting and managing the technology stack for the Music & Audio vertical, including CDP, product analytics, lifecycle/messaging, experimentation, warehouse, reverse-ETL, and entitlements — while providing well-supported recommendations with cost models and trade-offs.
• Develop a consistent event taxonomy with a unified schema and identity resolution spanning anonymous, free, paid, and multi-device users.
• Construct and attribute the entire growth funnel, encompassing paid, organic, partner, and in-product virality.
• Design the in-app Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy, including viral loops, referral mechanics, upgrade prompts, and sharing hooks.
• Establish and implement a lifecycle marketing strategy that focuses on segmentation, behavioral triggers, and messaging rhythms throughout activation, habit formation, and expansion.
• Deliver free-to-paid conversion strategies, including trial mechanics, paywalls, in-app messaging, and entitlement checks across web and native environments.
• Create onboarding sequences, churn-risk assessments, reactivation strategies, and win-back campaigns.
• Oversee A/B testing with exposure logging and statistical safeguards.
• Manage the growth dashboard, tracking activation, conversion, ARPU, LTV, retention cohorts, and expansion rates.
• A minimum of 6 years of comprehensive ownership of product or growth infrastructure within a B2C or PLG B2B environment.
• Extensive knowledge in growth marketing and product lifecycle marketing — you possess the capability to implement strategies, not just understand them.
• Practical experience with the modern martech stack, including CDPs, product analytics, lifecycle/messaging, billing, reverse-ETL, and transformation layers.
• Demonstrated success in deploying in-app PLG strategies where the product itself fuels growth.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and SQL.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced development tools as part of the daily workflow (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar).
• Experience in constructing event taxonomies that maintain integrity without schema drift.
• A proven track record of successfully implementing paywall and entitlement logic in production environments where revenue was reliant on it.
• Confidence in working independently without a product manager, including setting milestones, managing schedules, and escalating issues as necessary.
