Senior Platform/Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage production Kubernetes clusters and associated services.

• Create and maintain automation and tools using Python to enhance platform operations.

• Integrate and utilize Prometheus for monitoring, alerting, and observability purposes.

• Deploy and oversee Ceph storage solutions for distributed workloads.

• Assist in platform modernization efforts and transition services to cloud-native architectures.

• Diagnose and resolve issues within distributed systems spanning compute, storage, and network layers.

• Collaborate with development, SRE, and operations teams to establish platform requirements and SLAs.

• Document platform architectures, runbooks, and operational workflows.

• Engage in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure platform uptime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering roles.

• Proven track record of deploying and managing Kubernetes in a production environment.

• Strong proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and operational scripting.

• Experience in implementing and managing monitoring and alerting systems based on Prometheus.

• Practical experience with Ceph or similar distributed storage solutions.

• Cloud experience with AWS and Azure, including designing, deploying, and operating services.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and resolve incidents in production.

• Experience in collaborating across teams to achieve platform enhancements and migrations.

• Familiarity with OpenSearch (preferred).

• Proficiency in Bash scripting (preferred).

• Basic understanding of Java-based services (preferred).

• Experience with Fluent Bit for log collection (preferred).

• Experience working with PostgreSQL (preferred).
