This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana, +3 more states.
• Lead a cross-functional team through the entire product development lifecycle, encompassing concept generation, manufacturing implementation, and commercial launch.
• Accountable for executing the project plan and making strategic decisions to ensure the project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.
• Oversee product and tooling design, which entails facilitating ideation sessions, performing competitive analysis, documenting design requirements, conducting DFMEA, and leading design reviews to achieve team consensus.
• Coordinate the Technical Development Plan that details everything the Product Line Manager needs to address an RFQ or create a Business Case, including cost inputs, capital equipment expenses, and technology evaluations necessary for development and manufacturing.
• Spearhead technical communications with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsible for timely reporting of any deviations in project timelines, costs, and deliverable components to senior management as the project advances.
• Ensure compliance with Amcor, industry, and/or regulatory procedures, along with Management of Change, Stage Gate, and ISO processes.
• Collaborate closely with Quality personnel to establish critical quality metrics and validate process capability for those metrics.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7+ years of relevant Engineering experience in the product development and manufacturing of plastic bottles is required.
• Proficient in multi-step processes such as EBM, SBM, and RHB.
• Willingness to travel domestically as necessary (~10% - 20%).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with statistical methods and software (SPC/DOE/MiniTab).
• A self-directed and assertive individual.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, think proactively, and focus on results.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage several tasks at the same time.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential for making data-driven decisions.
