This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design for the patient search results experience, encompassing results tiering, provider cards, match explanations, filters and sorting, as well as sparse and empty states.

• Design and implement ongoing experiments on a conversion-critical interface: formulate hypotheses, create variants, analyze results, and determine subsequent iterations.

• Influence the representation of a provider's style and experience to patients, collaborating with the Ranking and Profiles teams.

• Establish a perspective on search results and translate it into deliverable increments in conjunction with the PM and engineering manager.

• Collaborate with research and data to comprehend patient hesitations; conduct research when necessary.

• Design for patients who are uncertain about their needs.

• Elevate the quality of craftsmanship on a high-traffic patient interface and advance the design system.

• Prototype using code and AI tools, enabling the team to respond to dynamic experiences rather than relying solely on static mockups.

• Engage within the Patient Onboarding pod alongside a Staff Product Designer, PM, engineering manager, and researcher.

• Work closely with the team focused on computing provider relevance.

• Continuously iterate on deployed surfaces and react to live experiment outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in designing consumer products, with comprehensive ownership of a live interface that is used daily.

• A portfolio showcasing developed, shipped work on complex, information-dense projects.

• Experience refining a conversion-critical interface over an extended period.

• Comfortable with numerical data and critical of it; capable of identifying key metrics and recognizing what may be overlooked.

• Clearly defined opinions on what elements to eliminate, with the ability to exercise restraint to mitigate choice overload.

• Ability to collaborate with PMs and engineers as equals, share incomplete work, and maintain composure under pressure.

• Familiarity with AI tools already integrated into the design process; able to evaluate their effectiveness, where they fell short, and what modifications were necessary.

• Experience in marketplaces, search, discovery interfaces, or healthcare is advantageous but not essential.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

• Must indicate whether visa sponsorship will be needed now or in the future.
