Senior Product Designer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of design for designated product workstreams: Navigate features from problem identification to high-fidelity Figma deliverables; establish information architecture, user flows, and interaction patterns; collaborate effectively with Product and Engineering throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

• Conduct and integrate user research to guide your design efforts: Facilitate usability sessions and customer interviews; analyze behavioral data, NPS feedback, and qualitative insights to validate design choices and pinpoint friction areas.

• Enhance and expand our design system: Operate within established component libraries; identify deficiencies and contribute new patterns that are consistent, scalable, and accessible. Focus on trust, clarity, and compliance within a regulated environment.

• Quickly iterate based on feedback from stakeholders and data: Transition swiftly from concept to prototype; conduct both low-fidelity and high-fidelity reviews with Product, Engineering, and leadership.

• Design product experiences that leverage AI capabilities: Contribute to experiences that incorporate AI features (e.g., personalized recommendations, intelligent form assistance, conversational flows); design thoughtfully around AI outputs, uncertainties, and error conditions to uphold user trust.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance your design workflow: Employ AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma Make) to expedite exploration, generate initial concepts, and prototype more efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in product design, with a robust portfolio showcasing UX and UI work across both web and mobile platforms.

• Proficient in Figma, including component-driven design, prototyping, and either working within or contributing to design systems.

• Proven experience in the UX design process: discovery, problem framing, information architecture, user flows, wireframing, and high-fidelity production.

• Capability to conduct and synthesize lightweight user research (usability testing, interviews, survey analysis) to inform and validate design choices.

• Experience in designing AI-powered product features or interacting with ML/AI outputs in a product design context, including considerations for edge cases, error states, and maintaining user trust.

• Active engagement with AI-assisted design tools to improve workflow efficiency (Figma AI, generative design exploration, or similar); a genuine interest in how AI will transform design practices.
