This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop engagement loops, shared experiences, and habit-forming elements that promote saving and integrate Acorns into households.
• Establish the quality standards for the Community product, focusing on micro-interactions, overall feel, and user delight.
• Craft a natural, trustworthy, and vibrant product experience tailored for a diverse audience, many of whom may be new to investing.
• Oversee the design process from initial concept to final product launch.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO, Senior Product Manager, and senior engineering team.
• Create social sharing features and habit-forming experiences that foster organic growth.
• Convert vague briefs into clear product directions.
• Work alongside engineering and product teams to maintain design integrity throughout production.
• Act swiftly by building, launching, and learning from outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of a scalable design system.
• Proven experience in designing engagement or retention features for social, gaming, or high-growth consumer applications.
• Capability to showcase results from engagement, retention, sharing, social proof, or habit-loop features.
• Comprehensive product design experience, encompassing discovery, concept development, high-fidelity design, and product launch.
• Skill in translating ambiguous briefs into clear and assertive product directions.
• Exceptional attention to product details and the ability to challenge implementations that do not meet design intent.
• Experience working within a small, cross-functional team characterized by high ownership and minimal process overhead.
• Background in building or contributing to a scalable design system.
• Senior-level product design expertise.
