Senior Product Designer, Capital Advances

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee project work from a design standpoint with independence and authority.

• Organize design reviews and collaborative working sessions.

• Transform unclear concepts into valuable and enjoyable product features.

• Develop solutions that enhance automated business operations using AI.

• Leverage AI to convert complex data into actionable insights.

• Utilize agentic workflows to swiftly produce functional prototypes.

• Craft prompts and guidelines for developing production experiences.

• Design comprehensive systems, workflows, interfaces, and micro-interactions across internal underwriting, operations tools, and merchant-facing platforms.

• Extract insights from research and data, translating them into concrete solutions.

• Understand and advocate for the needs of advanced underwriters, service teams, and merchants.

• Collaborate effectively with product, engineering, risk, and operations teams.

• Participate in a cross-functional product and engineering team.

• Create design artifacts that support multifunctional alignment meetings.

• Establish a product vision through iterative design and delivery for Lightspeed Capital advances, covering the entire process from merchant application to underwriting, issuance, and repayment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of hands-on, in-house experience in product, UX/UI design.

• Ideally, experience in designing and supporting development for 0-to-1 products.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Experience in designing complex, workflow-intensive products, internal tools, admin consoles, case management, or operational systems.

• Comfort in the financial services sector, including lending, risk, payments, or other policy and compliance-driven domains.

• Proven experience utilizing AI in design practices, including agentic workflows for research synthesis, prototyping, or production work.

• Strong dedication to design quality, accessibility, and performance.

• Familiarity with UX, UI design, and design systems.

• Understanding of agile product development methodologies.

• Preferably, considerable domain knowledge or business acumen in lending operations, customer onboarding, or credit product underwriting.

• Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone and be located on the East Coast of Canada.
