Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Enhance the primary member experience across iOS, Android, and web platforms.

• Take ownership of the design for onboarding, listing homes, discovering and applying for sits, matching sitters with owners, and preparing for stays.

• Serve as the lead designer within the squad and influence the strategic direction.

• Conduct discovery research and testing activities, including interviews, usability tests, and concept evaluations.

• Assess impact using product analytics and qualitative feedback to drive iterations.

• Define challenges and hypotheses with the squad, selecting suitable validation techniques.

• Design AI-driven features for matching, personalization, and communication, ensuring trust and transparency.

• Utilize AI tools daily for exploration, prototyping, and synthesis.

• Work collaboratively with product, engineering, user research, content, data, and commercial teams.

• Articulate design rationale, facilitate workshops, and negotiate trade-offs effectively.

• Contribute to and enhance the cross-platform design system.

• Map user journeys and service relationships to create scalable solutions.

• Advocate for design excellence and accessibility.

• Oversee the entire product design process from start to finish.

• Strong systems thinking and experience in designing intricate customer journeys from beginning to end.

• Ability to establish a customer-centric vision and convert it into practical, phased implementations while balancing member needs, business objectives, and technical limitations.

• Proficiency in user research methodologies, including interviews, usability testing, and concept validation.

• Capability to articulate complex challenges as clear problem statements and testable hypotheses.

• Solid understanding of experimentation techniques and their appropriate applications.

• Exceptional skills in interaction and visual design, with a keen attention to detail.

• Advanced prototyping abilities and experience working with established design systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of mobile interface guidelines and best practices.

• A portfolio that showcases end-to-end, user-centered design work with measurable impacts on customers and business outcomes.

• Confident use of AI-assisted design and prototyping tools on a daily basis.

• Outstanding communication and storytelling capabilities.

• Comfortable working in empowered, cross-functional squads.

• Experience in scale-ups with a robust product and experimentation culture.

• Experience in designing for native iOS and Android environments, as well as web.

• Nice to have: Experience in AI/ML-powered feature design, two-sided marketplaces, subscription or membership models, trust and safety-sensitive products, and familiarity with tools like Amplitude, Mode, Dovetail, or Chattermill.
