This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete design process for product features and workflows, from initial discovery to final outcomes.
• Create user experiences that address edge cases, regulatory nuances, permissions, states, exceptions, and real-world scenarios.
• Design seamless experiences for various personas and levels of expertise.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to clarify challenges, explore potential solutions, define project scope, and deliver high-quality work efficiently.
• Conduct practical research, including interviews, workflow mapping, and prototype testing; analyze insights and iterate on designs.
• Implement and help enhance design patterns and systems to boost quality, consistency, speed, and coherence.
• Articulate rationale, trade-offs, and decisions to foster alignment within the EPD team.
• Influence the product experience and contribute to how Sparrow develops and delivers solutions.
• 4–6+ years of experience in product design, including the successful delivery of significant product initiatives.
• Proven experience in designing intricate, workflow-intensive products.
• Familiarity with operationally complex fields such as fintech, healthcare, HR, payments, insurance, benefits, or administrative tools is advantageous.
• Strong interaction design and systems thinking skills.
• Capacity to design workflows that accommodate nuances, permissions, states, and exceptions.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, contribute to defining problems, propose solutions, and iterate effectively.
• Excellent collaboration skills with Product and Engineering teams, including discussions around scope and trade-offs.
• Exceptional UI, content, and interaction design proficiency with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• A passion for leveraging technology to tackle challenging problems and create beautiful, functional products.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
