Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire design process for key segments of Runpod’s AI infrastructure platform, encompassing discovery, launch, and iterations.

• Transform intricate workflows related to compute, deployment, storage, networking, billing, observability, and AI model operations into seamless user experiences.

• Quickly transition from uncertainty to action by identifying UX challenges, framing trade-offs, proposing solutions, and driving decisions.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to influence direction, define requirements, and deliver high-quality user experiences.

• Develop polished user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, interaction patterns, and production-ready specifications. Establish systems to facilitate continuous design-to-code workflows.

• Elevate design quality through robust information architecture, visual design, interaction design, UX writing, accessibility, and considering edge cases.

• Leverage customer interactions, usability testing, analytics, and support feedback to identify friction points and enhance the overall experience.

• Contribute to the enhancement of Runpod’s design system, ensuring the product is more consistent, scalable, and unique.

• Create delightful moments through thoughtful defaults, clear feedback, elegant interactions, and attention to detail that make the product feel meticulously crafted.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of product design experience, preferably with developer tools, cloud platforms, infrastructure products, AI/ML tools, enterprise software, data products, or technical SaaS.

• A compelling portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX thinking, visual craftsmanship, interaction design, systems thinking, and the ability to simplify complex products.

• A high sense of urgency and ownership, with a proven history of advancing design work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

• Strong product judgment with the capability to balance user needs, technical limitations, speed, quality, and business outcomes.

• Outstanding visual and interaction design skills, with keen attention to hierarchy, layout, typography, spacing, states, flows, and microinteractions.

• Experience collaborating closely with engineers and product managers to deliver technically complex products.

• Ability to comprehend workflows involving APIs, infrastructure, cloud platforms, deployment, observability, usage-based pricing, or AI/ML systems.

• Familiarity with utilizing qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design choices.

• Strong communication abilities, capable of clearly articulating design rationale and fostering alignment across teams.
