Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the design process from start to finish for a key area of Dispatch’s platform, concentrating on custodian and data workflows.

• Establish impactful product experiences by breaking down problems and discovering requirements, workflows, and high-fidelity designs.

• Create intricate, data-rich user experiences for financial advisors and their support teams.

• Seamlessly incorporate new functionalities into existing workflows to ensure product consistency and scalability.

• Work in close collaboration with engineering and product management through iterative prototyping and guidance during implementation.

• Foster and promote design as a critical function at Dispatch.

• Develop essential design-practice structures, beginning with the design system.

• Over 5 years of experience in product design, UX, or HCI.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, technically informed solutions.

• Proven history of managing complex projects from inception to completion.

• A portfolio that showcases ownership from discovery to the deployment of features in real products with actual constraints.

• Experience in designing intricate, data-heavy interfaces or workflow tools.

• Significant contributions to a design system, including components, patterns, or documentation that have been owned, maintained, and promoted.

• Experience in planning and conducting research and usability testing, applying insights to design decisions.

• Strong communication skills to articulate the rationale behind design choices and navigate complex requirements across engineering, product, and business teams.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity with a proactive problem-solving mindset.

• Experience in fintech, wealth management, enterprise, or regulated industries is advantageous.

• Familiarity with front-end coding and implementation.

• Skills in facilitating workshops.

• Experience in designing AI-native interfaces, including human-in-the-loop flows, review-and-approve patterns, and managing confidence or uncertainty states is a plus.

• Capability to adopt new tools and methods for design and development.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
