Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop design strategies encompassing the entire customer journey, including physical unboxing, mobile applications, web dashboards, and AI voice check-ins.

• Take responsibility for outcomes beyond initial activation, such as the adoption of AI check-in calls, call forwarding, spam blocking, call monitoring, and safety features.

• Collaborate with growth and product-led growth (PLG) teams to assess adoption impacts and customer value metrics.

• Engage in continuous learning post-launch to enhance existing designs.

• Rapidly create fully functional prototypes using cutting-edge AI development tools.

• Showcase prototypes to the team, customers within the ideal customer profile (ICP), and the CEO.

• Develop a cohesive component language across the application, dashboard, AI, and audio interface.

• Implement research and testing protocols, particularly for users with lower tech literacy and seniors.

• Produce documentation that empowers non-designers to make informed small decisions independently.

• Serve as a strategic partner to leadership in making roadmap and prioritization decisions.

• Report directly to the Founder and CEO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in product design.

• Significant senior ownership at a company of considerable scale, such as one with over $20 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), multiple interconnected products or surfaces, and an active PLG or self-service growth strategy.

• Proven design leadership and strategic influence.

• Experience in enhancing onboarding and activation for a complex, multi-surface product.

• Exceptional UI, UX, and user research capabilities.

• Strong aesthetic sensibility.

• Ability to function as the sole design entity, aligning priorities with company goals and articulating decisions effectively to non-design stakeholders.

• Capacity to build a high level of trust with product engineers.

• Proficiency with modern AI development tools and the ability to quickly create comprehensive working mockups.

• Nice to have: experience in designing hardware unboxing or physical plus digital product setups.

• Nice to have: background in caregiving, eldercare, accessibility-focused, or health-related consumer products.

• Nice to have: previous experience as an early or founding designer, followed by tenure at a scaled company.

• A portfolio featuring at least one case study that illustrates strategic thinking and the ability to navigate product or organizational complexities.
