Senior Product Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Simplify the work of accountants by developing innovative features.

• Collaborate with product engineers, designers, and QA to convert accounting standards into software requirements.

• Investigate and address complex accounting inquiries raised by teams.

• Keep up with standard-setters by reviewing publications and new guidance.

• Establish the accounting groundwork for new products.

• Leverage AI to enhance productivity.

• Interact with customers to explain how the software manages accounting situations.

• Educate the organization on accounting principles.

• Conduct end-to-end testing of new accounting features.

• Provide mentorship to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Four to six years of progressive audit or assurance experience at a Big 4 firm and/or senior-level corporate accounting.

• Proficiency in US GAAP is essential.

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and relevant international frameworks is highly desirable.

• CPA is strongly preferred; equivalent technical experience will be considered.

• Ability to write prompts that yield useful, accurate results from LLMs and understand why a prompt may fail.

• Skill in critically assessing AI-generated accounting content, identifying erroneous citations, recognizing subtle misapplications of guidance, and discerning when to rely on the output versus revisiting the source.

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with various teams, including engineers and executives.
