This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Convert awarded scopes and vendor selections into actionable contracts, encompassing scope definition, commercial terms, and contract structure.
• Spearhead contract negotiations to align pricing models, risk distribution, and commercial frameworks with project needs.
• Assess vendor proposals from a commercial viewpoint, pinpointing any gaps in scope, inconsistencies in pricing, and potential risk exposures.
• Design agreements that clearly outline inclusions, exclusions, cost drivers, and financial terms to facilitate precise project execution.
• Collaborate with Construction and Preconstruction teams to ensure that project requirements are well-defined and contractually aligned.
• Work in coordination with Legal, Risk, and internal stakeholders to address commercial and contractual matters.
• Prepare and circulate agreements through internal approval processes to ensure timely execution.
• Offer real-time commercial insights to site teams during vendor engagement and proposal assessments.
• Mentor site leads on scope clarity, vendor comparisons, and best practices in commercial dealings to enhance decision-making quality.
• Encourage the consistent application of templates, playbooks, and standardized contracting approaches to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Identify avenues for enhancing commercial results, including the optimization of cost structures and contracting efficiency.
• Assist in comprehensive contract execution activities, ensuring alignment with internal systems and documentation standards.
• Over 8 years of experience in construction procurement, preconstruction, or commercial contracting.
• Strong comprehension of construction cost structures, contract frameworks, and principles of risk allocation.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating complex commercial contracts within a project-based setting.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Construction, and Operations teams.
• Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and guide stakeholders without having direct authority.
