Senior Procurement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversees, develops, and executes projects of varying complexity and scale within Procurement.

• Collaborates with business stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.

• Provides expert guidance on established Procurement processes.

• May supervise a small team.

• Facilitates business function interfacing and directs Procurement teams to the appropriate functional contacts and processes.

• Assists other Center of Excellence (CoE) resources by offering specialized knowledge in their areas of expertise.

• Aids the Procurement function in managing exceptions to standard processes.

• Engages with Procurement leadership regarding reporting and special project requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of intermediate experience in purchasing systems, serving as technical or functional support, with a strong understanding of the procurement source-to-pay process preferred.

• Certification in Ariba Cloud, Ivalua, or Oracle support is preferred.

• Drive ongoing system and process enhancements by conducting systems analysis on purchasing systems for both Indirect and Direct, leading the problem-solving process to identify issues, genuine customer needs, research potential solutions, make recommendations, and effectively communicate changes to all teams.

• Adhere to Cummins' project management methodology to support or lead related projects or change requests, from gathering business requirements to system design and build, SIT/UAT testing, and post-implementation change control processes.

• Develop and oversee the system testing process, testing changes and patches.

• Reviews and configures application changes in accordance with defined processes.

• Ensures that the purchasing system remains compliant with Cummins and local policies by leading system auditing and performing necessary system clean-ups.
