Senior Procurement Officer – Supply, Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead comprehensive negotiations for complex, high-value contracts. Skillfully negotiate essential commercial terms, focusing on optimal payment schedules, cost structuring in relation to cash flow, and strategic credit discounting.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring that Runpod obtains the most favorable terms for infrastructure requirements.

• Serve as the primary liaison between the procurement team and the Legal department. Assess intricate contract clauses, convert commercial needs into legal frameworks, and streamline the contract execution process. This position necessitates a foundational understanding of contract law to maintain effectiveness.

• Evaluate procurement data and vendor proposals to predict expenses, minimize supply chain risks, and promote ongoing cost enhancements without compromising on quality or delivery speed. A working knowledge of FP&A is essential to keep pace in this role.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and finance leadership to grasp technical requirements, aligning procurement strategies with ambitious product delivery schedules and the company's growth objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, demonstrated experience overseeing the full procurement lifecycle, with a strong focus on negotiating and finalizing complex, enterprise-level contracts.

• In-depth understanding of financial structuring within contracts. You should be adept at leveraging payment terms, balancing capital expenditures against cash flow, and maximizing value through credit discounting.

• Strong ability to navigate and interpret complex legal language, ensuring the protection of company interests while fostering effective collaboration with legal counsel.

• Willingness to address supply chain challenges, manage difficult vendor relationships, and creatively design agreements that enhance the company's financial stability.

• Successful completion of a background check.

• Direct experience in procuring hardware, software, or services specifically within the datacenter, cloud computing, networking, or AI technology sectors.

• Familiarity with contemporary procurement software, ERP systems, and supply chain best practices in a rapidly growing tech environment.

• Previous experience in a fast-paced, remote-first startup setting.

• Advanced degree or certification in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Law (e.g., CPSM, JD).
