This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Directly oversee and cultivate the development of Buyers and other procurement staff.
• Set team priorities, distribute workloads, and define procurement goals.
• Provide leadership oversight across various manufacturing sites or regional operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to facilitate professional growth and succession planning.
• Ensure the alignment of procurement strategies, standardization of processes, and sharing of best practices across sites.
• Collaborate with site leadership teams to address operational priorities, manage inventory, and ensure supply continuity initiatives.
• Promote accountability, standardization, and ongoing improvement within procurement processes.
• Assist with performance management activities, including goal setting, feedback provision, and development planning.
• Formulate and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives.
• Lead competitive sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management tasks.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, and value enhancement.
• Analyze market trends, supply risks, tariffs, and commodity impacts to inform sourcing decisions.
• Facilitate dual sourcing and supply continuity efforts to reduce operational risks.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance metrics related to quality, delivery, cost, and service.
• Conduct supplier business reviews and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations regarding supplier claims, nonconformances, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with supplier onboarding, compliance documentation, and risk assessments.
• Negotiate commercial terms, payment conditions, and service agreements.
• Ensure procurement activities are compliant with internal controls, approval authorities, and purchasing policies.
• Support vendor master governance and ensure compliance with procurement systems.
• Ensure that requisition, purchase order, and contract processes are followed correctly.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
• Preferred experience in managing procurement activities across multiple sites or regional operations.
• Experience in negotiating supplier agreements and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SAP and procurement platforms such as Ariba is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in building relationships and effectively interacting with all levels of the organization.
