This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee procurement procedures, sourcing strategies, RFP creation, supplier negotiations, and cost analysis efforts.
• Acquire goods, materials, and services while ensuring favorable commercial conditions and adherence to company policies.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, pricing agreements, and procurement documentation.
• Evaluate supplier pricing, financial data, and market trends to facilitate sourcing decisions and cost-saving initiatives.
• Create bid packages and assess supplier proposals for new business ventures.
• Track supplier and contract performance for compliance with contractual obligations and business requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Program Management to address complex supply chain challenges and respond to customer inquiries.
• Identify, mitigate, and reduce supply chain risks to avoid production interruptions and enhance supplier delivery performance.
• Manage supplier relationships through expedited deliveries, resolution of shortages, continuous performance improvements, and alignment with business objectives.
• Compile procurement metrics, presentations, and executive-level reports; assist with audits, recovery plans, leadership reviews, and travel as necessary, up to 10–15%.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline.
• Proven professional or educational experience in communicating in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Prior experience with SAP and procurement processes is required.
• Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in supporting aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing sectors.
• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, supplier performance management, and FAR/DFAR regulations.
• APICS or ISM certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or CPM) are advantageous.
• Must be a resident of Puerto Rico at the start of employment.
