Senior Process Engineer – Preconstruction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establish how the preconstruction process is executed in practice and what constitutes "good" performance.

• Evaluate and confirm process deliverables throughout early phase engineering packages.

• Create standardized checks to identify inconsistencies across crucial documents and transitions.

• Analyze areas where rework occurs, the reasons behind it, and the typical inputs that lead to it.

• Define interface points with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.

• Distinguish between repetitive tasks and those that necessitate genuine engineering judgment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience with an EPC, PMC, or owner operator.

• Comprehensive knowledge of FEED and detailed design workflows.

• Extensive experience in managing PFD and P&ID development.

• Proficient in running simulations using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or comparable tools.

• Solid understanding of relief systems, hydraulics, and sizing processes.

• Familiarity with API, ASME, NFPA, ISA, or other relevant standards.

• Capability to identify discrepancies across P&IDs, datasheets, and vendor documentation.

• Thorough comprehension of cross-discipline dependencies.
