Senior Process Engineer – Gas Handling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Acting as the subject matter expert for gas and RNG systems to promptly assist in optimization, troubleshooting, and overcoming constraints for current facilities.

• Offering regular and on-demand guidance to site teams managing existing RNG facilities.

• Recognizing, defining, and creating improvement initiatives for current systems.

• Leading the design development of gas handling and upgrading facilities for projects both in progress and queued, including: Issuing requests for proposals (RFPs) and overseeing the selection of technology/vendors for gas handling equipment such as upgrader units, flares, blowers/compressors, analyzers, etc.

• Collaborating closely with vendors, contractors, and various internal teams throughout project scope development while ensuring smooth integration with the overall plant operations.

• Formulating commissioning plans and assisting in the commissioning and start-up of facilities.

• Engaging in commercial and regulatory discussions while staying informed about evolving standards.

• Comprehending the effects of product specifications, customer needs, permit requirements, and renewable energy credit programs on the design of Diverts RNG facilities.

• Evaluating alternative and/or innovative methods for biogas utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Over 5 years of experience in the design or operation of gas upgrading/renewable natural gas production facilities.

• Essential strong leadership abilities, independent thinking, outstanding organizational and planning skills, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proven excellence in both written and verbal communication.

• A desire to grow within a progressive and entrepreneurial organization.
