This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with clients to evaluate, design, and improve privacy programs that meet regulatory and industry standards.
• Analyze and provide guidance on European data protection and privacy legislation, including the GDPR, ePrivacy regulations, and relevant EU compliance obligations.
• Perform privacy assessments, risk analyses, and audits to pinpoint deficiencies and develop remediation plans.
• Oversee the deployment and configuration of privacy management solutions (such as OneTrust and TrustArc) for data mapping, DPIAs, cookie consent, subject rights, privacy notices, and more.
• Work cross-departmentally with legal, compliance, IT, and business teams to implement privacy programs effectively.
• Offer practical support during technology rollouts and suggest privacy-enhancing technologies where appropriate.
• Contribute to the sharing of internal knowledge, development of service offerings, and mentoring of junior team members.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic, results-oriented consulting environment.
• Participate in thought leadership activities, including the creation of reports and presentations that convey findings, strategies, and roadmaps.
• At least 5 years of experience in data privacy, security, compliance, or risk management—preferably in a consulting or client-facing setting.
• Strong understanding of European, U.S., and global privacy laws and regulations.
• Practical experience with privacy technology platforms, particularly OneTrust; OneTrust Expert certifications are advantageous.
• IAPP certifications (such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM) are highly desired.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, drive initiatives, and deliver high-quality results across various engagements.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills—capable of simplifying complex subjects for varied audiences.
• Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to privacy issues.
• Strong client service orientation with a proven track record of building and maintaining robust relationships.
• Inquisitive, adaptable, and team-oriented with a commitment to ongoing learning.
