Senior Principal Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold enterprise data architecture standards utilizing Snowflake.

• Work in conjunction with SAP data teams to facilitate seamless data ingestion from both SAP and non-SAP sources.

• Construct scalable data modeling frameworks, including medallion architectures for enterprise data products.

• Set standards for data performance, cost optimization, and security within the Snowflake environment.

• Lead the integration efforts with Power BI and other analytics platforms to ensure efficient data delivery.

• Provide mentorship to engineering teams on Snowflake data patterns, performance tuning, and best practices in governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 5 years concentrated on Snowflake and AWS ecosystems.

• Expertise in SQL, data modeling (3NF, dimensional), and data integration tools such as Informatica or Matillion.

• Experience in designing and optimizing Snowflake virtual warehouses, data shares, and secure views.

• Comprehensive knowledge of medallion architecture, data governance, and best practices for cost management.
