This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and manage the AIDLC — Sphera's agentic software delivery framework applicable across all engineering domains, not limited to AI projects.
• Act as the senior technical expert within the AI COE — personally designing, developing, and overseeing AI solutions from initial concept to production across the entire portfolio.
• Define and enforce established delivery roles across teams — ensuring that each role functions within its designated scope and that agentic execution is properly monitored and validated at every phase.
• Promote the adoption of the AIDLC operating model within engineering teams — onboarding squads, maintaining framework discipline, and stepping in when teams veer towards ad-hoc methods or accumulate governance deficiencies.
• Develop and implement AI solution evaluation frameworks — assessing prompt quality, model accuracy, latency, cost, and production reliability — and track deployed features for drift and degradation.
• Assess and benchmark new AI tools, models, and frameworks through structured experimentation, providing clear technical recommendations based on hands-on evaluations.
• Engage collaboratively with engineering, product, InfoSec, Legal, and senior leadership, translating technical complexities and business implications according to the audience's needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in building production AI systems.
• Over 8 years of experience in software or platform engineering or solutions architecture, demonstrating a clear focus on AI/ML implementation in recent roles.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and delivering production AI solutions — including LLM applications, RAG systems, agentic workflows, or multi-model orchestration pipelines.
• Extensive practical knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, vector stores, and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel.
• Proficient in Python; comfortable working across the full AI stack, including Azure AI Foundry, Azure Data Lake, APIM, and Databricks Mosaic AI.
• Experience in managing an AI delivery lifecycle or methodology — encompassing standards definition, team onboarding, and process governance across multiple concurrent projects.
• Familiarity with agentic AI tools such as Claude Code and Claude Desktop with MCP servers, along with structured artifact-driven delivery models.
• Proven experience in developing corporate AI governance frameworks — including acceptable use policies, model approval processes, usage management, and audit preparedness.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and EU AI Act; experience collaborating with Legal and InfoSec to implement AI compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills — capable of clearly conveying architectural and governance decisions across engineering teams, product owners, and executive leadership.
