Senior Presales Systems Engineer – Federal Systems Integrators

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary technical consultant for Federal Systems Integrators and their government clientele.

• Collaborate with Account Managers and Partner teams to identify, qualify, and secure strategic opportunities.

• Lead the design of comprehensive solutions encompassing networking and security.

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions and align requirements with scalable architectures and roadmaps.

• Develop and present technical proposals, architecture designs, RFP/RFI responses, presentations, demos, and proofs of concept.

• Work alongside internal teams to address complex technical challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting.

• Proven experience working with or supporting Federal Systems Integrators or defense contractors.

• Strong expertise in enterprise and campus networking (LAN/WLAN).

• Knowledge of data center networking (EVPN/VXLAN, spine-leaf, segmentation).

• Familiarity with routing and WAN technologies (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN).

• Understanding of network security and Zero Trust architectures.

• Practical experience with HPE Aruba CX switching and/or Juniper (Junos, Mist).

• Experience with NAC/security platforms like Aruba ClearPass, Juniper Access Assurance, and Cisco ISE.
