Senior Presales, System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Lead technical sales initiatives for designated Tier 2 Service Provider clients in Italy.

• Comprehend customer needs and recommend HPE products and solutions that align with their business goals.

• Demonstrate HPE technologies through technical sales presentations, whiteboarding sessions, customer technology events, product demonstrations, evaluations, and proofs of concept.

• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with customer technical decision-makers and partners.

• Manage technical responses for RFPs/RFQs and create bills of materials for sales opportunities.

• Gather customer and industry requirements and trends for business units.

• Keep abreast of industry developments, competitive solutions, products, and services.

• Facilitate discussions on virtualization and automation through presentations and demonstrations.

• Collaborate with SE peers, Account Managers, and other organizational teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Sales/Presales.

• Proficient in English.

• Significant experience with Service Provider networks in technical/pre-sales, Sales/Systems Engineer, or Network Architecture roles.

• In-depth knowledge of routing technologies and protocols, including MPLS and Segment Routing.

• Experience in areas like automation, Cloud/DC, security, and network virtualization.

• Familiarity with or strong interest in network automation and network virtualization.

• Knowledge of Python, Ansible, Netconf YANG, JSON, or OpenConfig is preferred.

• Understanding of Service Provider security is an advantage.

• Insight into Service Provider market trends and emerging use cases.

• Familiarity with HPE products and solutions is advantageous.

• Knowledge of HPE competitors’ products and services.

• Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Quick learner with the ability to apply skills in new areas.

• Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Skilled in managing multiple priorities.

• Self-driven team player who can work independently with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Industry certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP, or CCIE are advantageous.
