Senior Presales, System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Lead technical sales initiatives for designated Tier 2 Service Provider clients in Italy.

• Collaborate with clients to comprehend their needs and recommend HPE solutions.

• Advise clients on how HPE products and solutions fulfill their business requirements.

• Demonstrate HPE technologies through technical sales presentations, whiteboarding sessions, technology events, demonstrations, evaluations, and proofs of concept.

• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with customer technical decision-makers and partners.

• Manage technical responses for RFPs and RFQs and create bills of materials for sales opportunities.

• Gather customer and industry requirements and trends for business units.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive solutions, products, and services.

• Facilitate discussions on virtualization and automation through presentations and demonstrations.

• Work collaboratively with SE peers, Account Managers, and other organizational teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Sales/Presales roles.

• Proficient in English.

• Extensive experience with Service Provider networks in technical/pre-sales, Sales/Systems Engineer, or Network Architecture positions.

• In-depth knowledge of routing technologies and protocols, including MPLS and SR.

• Experience in areas such as automation, cloud/data center, security, and network virtualization.

• Familiarity or a strong interest in network automation and network virtualization.

• Desirable knowledge of automation using Python, Ansible, Netconf YANG, JSON, or OpenConfig.

• Knowledge of Service Provider security is an advantage.

• Understanding of Service Provider market trends and emerging use cases.

• Desirable knowledge of HPE products and solutions.

• Awareness of HPE competitors' products and services.

• Excellent written, verbal, and communication/presentation skills.

• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Quick learner with the capacity to apply skills in new domains.

• Capable of working under pressure and managing various priorities.

• Self-driven team player who can operate independently with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Industry certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP, or CCIE are advantageous.
