Senior Presales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Account Executives to conduct pre-sales activities such as opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.

• Assist customers in achieving success by leading the technical and product sale, suggesting best-practice solutions, and advising them on the effective use of Twilio’s APIs.

• Position yourself as a trusted advisor to our customers by taking the initiative to understand their technical challenges through discovery, enabling you to design, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions that address business issues.

• Create and deliver highly interactive, complex, and engaging product demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of Twilio’s Communications Products, while effectively building strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Be hands-on, energetic, passionate, and a creative problem solver, equipped with the know-how to get things done and the ability to lead others toward success.

• Proactively identify and address challenges – both for the customer and within the organization as we expand.

• Contribute to the wider Twilio Solutions Engineering community by sharing knowledge, developing demonstration materials, and creating reusable presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of pre-sales experience in selling complex, technical products or 6+ years of professional experience supporting technical products along with customer-facing experience, particularly in delivery or consulting.

• Exceptional communicator and presenter capable of earning audience trust.

• A compelling storyteller who can effectively convey complex topics to various audience levels.

• Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of a customer’s communication needs and guide them toward a technical solution.

• Prior software development experience or familiarity with one or more of the following areas:

• Backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP)

• Web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, frontend frameworks - React, Vue.js, Angular)

• Experience working with REST APIs.

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
