This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for managing a specific loan portfolio, primarily consisting of large, intricate commercial and mortgage loans.
• Evaluates new loan applications and various service requests through detailed analysis of financial statements and other relevant credit information, crafting comprehensive credit packages.
• Supports the Relationship Manager in gathering essential information needed for making informed credit decisions and analyzing credit and servicing requests from initiation to completion.
• Acts as a secondary contact point for customers.
• Provides recommendations on loan and servicing requests in accordance with the Association’s Loan Underwriting Standards.
• Responsible for the approval or denial of credit actions.
• Develops credit packages and manages loan servicing activities.
• Reviews and assesses credit information provided, determining if further investigation or additional information is necessary.
• Conducts loan analysis, which includes financial statements, cash flow assessments, loan analysis forms, trend sheets, narrative writing, and offering insights regarding credit worthiness, risks, and mitigants.
• Creates projections based on historical financial data, current budgets, and other relevant information.
• Inputs all necessary financial data into financial analysis, loan origination, and other loan processing systems.
• Participates in loan committee meetings as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in agribusiness, business administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in banking or related agricultural lending.
• Proven analytical and statistical skills to effectively assess loan requests and independently evaluate the credit worthiness of applicants, aligned with the organization’s credit philosophy and risk appetite.
• In-depth understanding of agricultural lending principles and practices, as well as the operating policies and procedures of the association and Farm Credit System.
• Familiarity with Participation and Syndication credits.
• Knowledge of FCA regulations and the policies and procedures of the association and district.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong persuasive and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in using a PC, including word processing, email, and electronic spreadsheet software.
