• Oversee political initiatives and workflow processes among teams to achieve project objectives.
• Develop innovative strategies to deliver electoral and political support to the Indivisible movement, focusing on groups, networks, and individuals.
• Assist in creating programs aimed at maximizing grassroots influence during elections.
• Compose language for political materials, adhering to best practices that bolster organizational programs.
• Conduct research on critical issues, candidates, and constituencies to provide program directors with comprehensive insights into targets.
• Generate an analysis of the political environment to guide organizational direction and program goals.
• Collaborate with organizers, policy experts, and political staff to investigate target races using electoral data, campaign updates, and local Indivisible strengths.
• Work collaboratively across teams to support intricate organizational objectives, offering a political perspective to the work of other departments.
• Provide swift responses and essential research assistance to the Political Director.
• Educate the movement on engaging in political best practices to enhance grassroots impact during elections at local, state, and federal levels.
• Act as a representative of the political department in cross-team meetings.
• Independently oversee departmental contracts, invoices, payments, expense tracking/coding, and monthly financial reports, coordinating with other department personnel as required.
• Assist with scheduling and logistics for internal and external meetings and events, including travel for the department.
• Foster and maintain relationships with state tables, key organizational partners, and priority candidates.
• Represent Indivisible to local groups, working to engage their members in support of our electoral initiatives.
• Participate in meetings and conferences with relevant partners and allies within the electoral arena.
• 5+ years of experience in campaigns or electoral work.
• Proven ability to manage and supervise staff or program teams.
• Familiarity with grassroots organizing and independent expenditure initiatives.
• Exceptional writing skills, strategic planning capabilities, and proficiency in crafting persuasive communications.
• In-depth knowledge of political research and the ability to convey information effectively to non-political staff and volunteers.
• Strong internal communication, organizational, and collaboration skills; demonstrated experience in managing complex cross-team processes and projects.
