This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Provide effective leadership for Azure-centric infrastructure, platform engineering, and DevOps capabilities that support mission-critical financial systems.
• Design, build, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available Microsoft Azure environments for regulated workloads.
• Direct Platform Engineering practices including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, observability, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Oversee operational execution for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 (evidence collection, remediation, audit readiness, and continuous improvement).
• Integrate security and compliance controls into SAFe Agile delivery, Program Increment (PI) planning, and release execution.
• Engage in architectural reviews and technical design decisions to guarantee high-quality results.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID & Office 365 administration encompassing identity governance, access controls, licensing, and security configuration.
• Generate reports on infrastructure, security, and Office 365 expenses, trends, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Assess infrastructure, security, and SaaS utilization to drive measurable cost savings.
• Lead all aspects of POD people management (recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluation, and corrective actions).
• Oversee Release Management to ensure controlled, auditable, and compliant deployments.
• Audit, maintain, and reconcile software/hardware inventory, licensing, subscriptions, and associated costs, identifying discrepancies and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Compliance, Audit, and IT Operations teams.
• Identify operational, security, and delivery risks while eliminating obstacles to ensure predictability.
• Maintain visibility into platform health, delivery metrics, security posture, and compliance status.
• Actively participate in internal and external audits (ISO, SOX) including evidence preparation, control validation, auditor Q&A, and remediation utilizing tools like AuditBoard.
• 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps with escalating leadership responsibilities.
• Practical experience in building and managing Azure platforms within regulated financial settings.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM), automation, and reliability engineering.
• Proven ownership of SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 operational controls.
• Knowledge of SAFe Agile and scaled delivery environments.
• Experience managing Microsoft Entra ID and Office 365 in secure enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in POD/team settings, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Strong technical acumen and the capability to influence architecture and operational decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
• Ability to excel in dynamic, rapidly changing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
