Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer – Cross-Cloud & Service Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, uncover opportunities, outline vision & business needs, and convert them into effective cloud-based solutions and services.

• Recognize automation opportunities and promote ongoing enhancements in the deployment process.

• Design and establish automation frameworks and deployment pipelines utilizing state-of-the-art tools and technologies.

• Regularly assess and improve deployment practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.

• Take initiative and work independently; grasp functional and technical requirements, identify gaps, and propose enhancements.

• Advocate for an "automate everything" philosophy and implement DevOps best practices to guarantee consistent and transparent execution.

• Contribute to the development and creation of automated services.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to deployment services and DevOps.

• Occasionally travel to work on-site with clients in Switzerland (Geneva).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of proven experience as a Cloud & DevOps specialist.

• Extensive practical experience with GCP and AWS.

• A solution-driven mindset paired with exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.

• High proficiency in Python is essential.

• Experience with AWS SQS and Lambda for service orchestration is highly regarded.

• Familiarity with deploying and managing data-centric applications such as DBT, Airbyte, and Airflow.

• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps practices (ArgoCD).

• Background in platform security, including IAM, network security, and compliance.

• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is a significant advantage.

• Must be eligible to work in Europe.
