This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Evaluate and demonstrate compliance with hardware fault metrics.
• Suggest innovative methods and enhance current practices.
• Perform analyses utilizing traditional techniques such as fault trees in conjunction with model-based methods.
• Create automation tools to aid in the analysis of intricate multi-layered systems.
• Review and interpret both internal and external safety documentation for potential improvements.
• Ensure the integration of safety analysis methodologies across System, Software, and Hardware.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Over 12 years of experience in systems architecture or related areas.
• Experience collaborating with cross-company partners during development.
• Proficient in safety analysis of embedded systems at both the hardware and software levels.
• Demonstrated ability in conducting safety analyses using both qualitative and quantitative techniques (e.g., FTA, FMEA, and FMEDAs).
• Knowledge in hardware System on Chip (SoC) and/or board-level architecture.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and ISO/PAS 21448.
• Experience assessing fault metrics through the integration of built-in hardware measures and application coverage.
