Senior Platform Engineer, MLOps, Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain a cloud-native platform to facilitate AI and data workloads.

• Construct and oversee scalable data pipelines for machine learning and analytics.

• Create infrastructure-as-code utilizing tools such as CloudFormation and AWS CDK.

• Work collaboratively with AI engineers, data engineers, and platform teams to enhance AI model performance.

• Promote best practices for observability, including monitoring, alerting, and logging.

• Integrate AI models and large language models (LLMs) into production systems for diverse applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software and infrastructure engineering.

• Significant experience in constructing and maintaining AI/ML infrastructure in production environments.

• Deep understanding of AWS and infrastructure-as-code frameworks, preferably with CDK.

• Advanced coding proficiency in TypeScript and Python.

• Practical experience with Databricks MLFlow at a production level.

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Demonstrated ability to design reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for machine learning workloads.

• Strong collaboration abilities and capacity to work with cross-functional teams.

• **Nice to have:**

• Familiarity with emerging LLM frameworks like DSPy.

• Insight into LLM cost monitoring and latency optimization.

• Understanding of vector databases and embedding stores (e.g., OpenSearch).
