Senior Platform Engineer – Data Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential components of the core data platform to facilitate business process orchestration and workflows.

• Construct scalable and resilient services that support data integration, event processing, and platform expansions.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of product functionality that accommodates substantial volumes of data and traffic.

• Produce high-quality, efficient, sustainable, and testable code while taking responsibility for the quality of your output.

• Mentor and collaborate with team members and stakeholders, enjoying close cooperation to foster growth through knowledge sharing and best practices.

• Operate within a hybrid cloud infrastructure, taking into account the implementation of features across multiple distributed components and services.

• Engage with stakeholders to convert product objectives into actionable engineering strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in any back-end programming language, such as Go, Java, or Python (experience in Go, Java, or C/C++ is an advantage).

• Proficient in handling and storing terabytes of data or hundreds of millions of records.

• Knowledgeable about distributed systems and skilled in building scalable, redundant, and observable services.

• Expertise in designing messaging systems, distributed data stores, and NoSQL technologies (e.g., Kafka, Google PubSub, Bigtable, Spanner, Vertica, Vitess, S3, Iceberg, etc.).

• Experience in developing solutions for one or more public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, etc.).

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, and setting up and maintaining highly available systems.

• A proactive individual with a strong inclination towards action.

• An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire for continuous learning.

• Proven history of delivering complex projects on schedule and experience in enterprise-grade production environments.

• A strategic thinker with a strong technical background and a passion for execution.
