Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Construct and manage the platform that supports our consumer tax product and Nino, the AI-driven personal finance assistant.

• Enhance databases, automate deployment processes, and establish the infrastructure foundation for AI-enhanced features.

• Oversee Redis caching layers for effective session and data caching at scale.

• Manage GitOps pipelines and image promotion workflows from staging to production environments.

• Create and sustain Helm charts to ensure consistent deployments across various environments.

• Implement observability using OpenTelemetry — including monitors, dashboards, metric routing with PII stripping, and Pub/Sub export functionalities.

• Fortify the platform with Cloudflare integration, Cloud Armor WAF, CloudOrigin CA TLS certificates, and GCP Secret Manager via External Secrets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with GCP — including GKE, AlloyDB/CloudSQL, Redis, Pub/Sub, GCS, Secret Manager, and IAM.

• Proficient in Terraform — focusing on module development, state management, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.

• Competence in Kubernetes — including cluster management, Workload Identity, autoscaling, PodDisruptionBudgets, and node pools.

• Experience in database operations at scale — specifically with PostgreSQL/AlloyDB read pools, connection pooling (PgBouncer), and capacity planning.

• Background in managing high-traffic web applications — adept at handling seasonal traffic spikes, ensuring zero-downtime deployments, and facilitating rapid rollbacks.

• Knowledge in monitoring and observability — developing alerting strategies and defining SLO/SLI metrics.
