Senior Platform Engineer – Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and successfully execute medium-to-large platform projects from implementation to production.

• Develop and sustain internal platform services and tools that enhance developer experience and speed of delivery.

• Collaborate with application teams to remove obstacles to delivery and ensure platform capabilities meet developer requirements.

• Promote cost efficiency and optimization within cloud and infrastructure environments.

• Enhance operational excellence through improved observability, automation, and incident management.

• Advance CI/CD pipelines and workflows based on GitOps practices.

• Guide junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge transfer.

• Engage in on-call rotations and incident management activities.

• Work with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD systems, and internal developer tools.

• Partner with Product Engineering, Security, Infrastructure IT, and other platform teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or software engineering roles.

• Strong proficiency in Python and Java programming languages.

• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD and GitOps methodologies.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform.

• Solid experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies.

• Background in operating distributed, high-availability systems.

• Capability to independently deliver assigned projects.

• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
