Senior Platform, DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage our platform based on AWS and Kubernetes.

• Take ownership of specific areas and serve as the primary contact within the team.

• Manage production AWS environments and Kubernetes clusters.

• Maintain an observability stack, including metrics, logs, traces, and instrumentation.

• Establish SLOs, dashboards, and alerts for various teams.

• Work on Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, and traffic management.

• Create and maintain Terraform modules for AWS and Kubernetes.

• Facilitate connectivity between cloud and on-premises systems.

• Engage in design reviews, incident evaluations, and on-call responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure, operations, platform, or DevOps roles.

• Extensive experience with AWS in a production environment, including multi-account setups, networking, landing zones, IAM, and security best practices.

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes in production, including cluster operations, workloads, deployments, and autoscaling.

• Comprehensive observability experience with tools such as Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Grafana Loki, Grafana Tempo, and OpenTelemetry.

• Strong networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.

• Familiarity with Envoy, ingress controllers, API gateways, and SD-VPN solutions.

• Significant experience with Terraform and Terragrunt.

• Practical experience with Argo CD and GitOps methodologies.

• Experience with traditional/on-premises infrastructure and integrating it with cloud environments.

• Comfortable working in a remote-first setting within European time zones, with strong written communication skills.
