Senior Platform Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with an emphasis on applications and infrastructure aspects such as networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and ensuring high availability and system resilience.

• Act as a subject matter expert on-site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT requirements.

• Adapt to evolving client needs.

• Oversee problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, customer training, and deployment of intricate open-source solutions.

• Address incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner.

• Provide quality outcomes both on-site and after engagement that are timely and within the project's defined scope, including project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation.

• Comprehend industry practices along with Red Hat's policies, procedures, and values.

• Acquire new technologies and apply those insights to meet customer needs.

• Exhibit sound judgment in selecting the most effective methods for achieving solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a consulting capacity.

• Experience collaborating directly with enterprise stakeholders on various development and deployment initiatives.

• Outstanding customer-facing abilities; capable of presenting to clients and leading customer interactions.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies at a delivery level.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with container technologies in an enterprise environment and large-scale deployments.

• Familiarity with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technology and container technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift, along with related infrastructure technologies at a delivery level.

• Experience in onboarding applications and application teams onto cloud or container platforms while introducing DevOps, continuous delivery (CD), and application lifecycle management.

• Proficient in Istio (RH OpenShift Service Mesh).

• Knowledge and experience with AppDev Red Hat’s solutions such as ArgoCD (RH OpenShift GitOps), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD), along with related technologies like Jenkins, Tekton, or similar; RH Build of Keycloak, FUSE/Camel, RH Connectivity Link, 3scale, and AMQ (Kafka and/or Broker).

• Understanding of application architecture, including application servers, integration patterns, and microservices.

• Ability to code in various programming languages (Go, Python, Java, etc.).

• Familiarity with Ansible and Automation.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
