Senior Plan Compliance Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Engages with external clients and associates to guide them in achieving their plan objectives while ensuring the plans maintain their qualified status.

• Reviews plan documentation and assists clients in resolving intricate operational and regulatory compliance challenges related to both qualified and nonqualified retirement plans.

• Conducts independent analysis of new laws and regulations to assess their implications on plans and holds discussions with clients.

• Responsible for providing consultative services across their client portfolio, primarily focusing on large retirement plans.

• Maintains an extensive understanding of regulatory requirements and industry trends.

• Evaluates the effects of new regulations and legislation on client requirements and RPS offerings.

• Proactively informs clients and RPS associates about legislative and regulatory changes.

• Communicates findings to clients, internal stakeholders, and the clients' attorneys and advisors.

• Participates actively in the sales process.

• Acts as a lead subject matter expert on cross-functional taskforces and committees.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Advanced designations from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) (QKA – CPC) or a comparable professional credential.

• Comprehensive knowledge of plan documentation and testing concepts for 401k, profit sharing, 403(b), ESOP, Puerto Rico, and 457 plans.

• Familiarity with the laws and regulations that influence plan design and documentation.

• FINRA licenses are not mandatory and will not be supported for this position.
