This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for designated tasks and functions.
• Deliver an outstanding customer service experience daily in a phone-based setting.
• Input a large volume of data, processing prescription information swiftly and accurately.
• Leverage solid drug knowledge to efficiently handle prescription authorizations, clarifications, or transfers.
• Execute claim adjudication and auditing tasks, including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks.
• Make outbound calls to patients as necessary.
• Navigate current case queues to resolve patient care issues effectively.
• Act as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on behalf of patients.
• Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to ensure successful onboarding of new patients to ExactCare.
• Maintain patient records with meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Accurately retrieve all prescription information and verify it through calls to doctors.
• Conduct welcome calls to newly onboarded patients, establishing a reliable point of contact.
• Initiate outbound calls to patients to create, maintain, or update their medication profiles.
• Provide backup support during periods of increased patient call volume.
• Effectively address patient inquiries over the phone.
• Operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to support ExactCare’s nationwide patient base.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) with current certification.
• Must hold a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Comfortable working in a phone-based atmosphere.
• Ability to work independently.
• Self-motivated with a goal-oriented approach.
• Proficient in using computer equipment, technology, and navigating multiple software applications.
• Exceptional customer service abilities; addressing the needs of doctors, pharmacists, and patients over the phone.
• Comprehensive drug knowledge.
• Familiarity with pharmacy billing processes.
• Understanding of the appropriate procedures for taking prescriptions, clarifications, and transfers, including clear written and verbal communication.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
