This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Act as the key pharmacy benefits expert for Cigna Integrated Pharmacy clients located in Mid-Southern Tennessee and its nearby regions.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders, including medical sales teams and the pharmacy underwriting department, as well as external brokers and consultants.
• Aid in long-term client retention and expansion while fulfilling Cigna's overarching corporate strategic objectives.
• Offer pharmacy products and clinical insights to support both the Medical Sales teams and the Pharmacy Implementation group.
• Collaborate with Cigna Medical teams to enhance the Pharmacy aspect of integrated benefits.
• Maintain the assigned book of business through proactive management of the portfolio.
• Engage in client meetings and presentations to assess client performance.
• Educate and elevate the understanding of pharmacy within the Cigna Medical sales team.
• Communicate clearly and eliminate ambiguity.
• Collect and disseminate pertinent competitive intelligence to bolster retention and new sales initiatives.
• A clinical pharmacy background is essential; R.Ph. or Pharm.D. required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) that meets client expectations.
• Preferably possess Mid to Large Employer account management experience.
• Familiarity with consultative client management techniques is advantageous.
• Demonstrated capability to manage renewals independently with minimal oversight.
• Ability to navigate organizational processes necessary to support clients, especially those of a clinical nature, including considerations for exceptions.
• A self-driven individual who exhibits ownership, accountability, and responsibility.
• Operational knowledge and proficiency in the PBM business model.
• Understanding of PBM financial and pricing strategies.
• Proficient technical skills with all Microsoft applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time based on the candidate's location, often with little or no prior notice.
