Senior Permitting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Responsible for managing and delivering BESS projects from site acquisition to ready-to-build (RTB), ensuring complete accountability for timelines, budgets, and project results.

• Takes charge of intricate BESS projects and ensures their successful execution—both technically, commercially, and strategically.

• Shapes critical projects by developing detailed programs and risk registers to maintain on-schedule delivery and manage risks effectively.

• Serves as the primary point of accountability for projects, leading cross-functional teams across grid, permitting, engineering, and finance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in project development throughout the entire lifecycle of a project (preferably in the renewables or storage sectors).

• Strong project management skills and a results-oriented mindset with documented ownership of complex projects.

• Capability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate decision-making in uncertain situations.

• Experience in managing project timelines, budgets, and risk registers.

• Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations and markets in Germany.

• Independent and methodical working style with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills in both German and English.

• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and with diverse, international teams.

• Knowledge of construction permits, environmental impact assessments, and the commissioning of necessary studies.
