Senior Performance Engineer

📋 Description

• Evaluate the comprehensive performance of large-scale AI workloads across computing, networking, storage, and software environments.

• Create and implement performance assessments to establish benchmarks, identify regressions, and measure bottlenecks.

• Develop methodologies, benchmarks, and success metrics for evaluating performance and efficiency in AI workloads.

• Leverage profiling, observability, and data analysis to formulate actionable optimization strategies.

• Collaborate with deep learning engineers, platform teams, and GPU architects to validate and implement performance enhancements.

• Present performance insights, trade-offs, and recommendations to shape system and software design choices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 12 years of professional experience.

• Proficient programming skills in C++ and Python.

• Capability to develop dependable analysis and automation workflows.

• Solid foundation in operating systems, computer architecture, and distributed systems.

• Experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, profiling, and optimizing complex software or systems.

• Ability to effectively communicate technical findings, prioritize impactful tasks, and foster collaboration among teams.

• Experience in analyzing large-scale AI clusters or in distributed training and inference workloads.

• Familiarity with CUDA, GPU computing systems, and GPU performance evaluation.

• Practical experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX/XLA.

• In-depth understanding of system-level performance analysis, workload characterization, and optimization.
