This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +14 more states.
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of enhancements across Workday and the wider People Tech ecosystem, ensuring the solutions are scalable and of high quality.
• Configure and manage Workday HCM (including business processes, security, notifications, and reporting) throughout key employee lifecycle stages.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from People, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and BizTech to convert business requirements into effective system solutions.
• Identify and execute opportunities to enhance automation – such as AI-assisted workflows – to improve data integrity, minimize manual tasks, and enrich the user experience across People systems.
• Ensure smooth interoperability among People systems (e.g., Workday, Adaptive, Ashby, payroll providers), optimizing workflows from end to end.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and external systems, utilizing AI and automation tools (e.g., Workato, AI-powered bots) to enhance data flows.
• Monitor the health of integrations, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root cause analyses to ensure reliability.
• Support workforce planning and the flow of headcount data, particularly between Workday and Adaptive.
• Assist in testing new functionalities and product releases, ensuring deployments are smooth and controlled.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and establish best practices for system governance, change management, and ongoing support.
• Stay updated on trends in AI and automation within the HR Technology landscape, proactively suggesting tools and methods that can enhance team efficiency and employee experience.
• 4–6 years of experience working with Workday HCM in a techno-functional role.
• Strong practical experience with Workday configuration (including business processes, security, reporting, and notifications).
• Demonstrated experience in building or supporting Workday integrations (EIB, RaaS, Core Connectors, Studio).
• Experience collaborating across functions – connecting functional stakeholders (People, Finance, Payroll, BizTech) with technical implementation teams.
• Knowledge of APIs, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Experience troubleshooting integration failures and conducting root cause analyses.
• Familiarity with automation/iPaaS platforms (e.g., Workato) and a comfort level with AI-powered tools, along with a willingness to experiment as technology progresses.
• Strong capability to translate technical concepts into clear, non-technical terms.
• Comfortable managing projects from start to finish in a fast-paced setting.
