This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary expert on payroll tax matters for multi-state payroll operations in the U.S. and Canada.
• Conduct independent research, analysis, and resolution of intricate payroll tax challenges.
• Manage payroll tax compliance initiatives concerning employee hiring and transfers.
• Perform thorough audits and reviews of employee tax configurations.
• Supervise payroll tax adjustments and corrections.
• Execute advanced analyses and reconciliations to facilitate payroll tax audits.
• Review and confirm quarterly and annual payroll tax submissions.
• Offer expertise in compliance with Canadian payroll tax regulations.
• Assess and manage new tax account registrations.
• High School Diploma.
• Over 5 years of progressive payroll experience within a multi-state setting.
• Proficient in UKGPro payroll systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Organized and results-driven with a focus on process improvement.
• Familiarity with MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations, including Canadian laws.
• Capability to identify deficiencies in controls and processes.
