This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete processing of payrolls in Mexico for a selection of GoGlobal clients, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely delivery for each pay period.

• Process payroll inputs such as new hires, departures, salary modifications, variable compensation, benefits, deductions, attendance or time records, and other payroll-related alterations.

• Compute employee net pay based on time records, benefits, relevant taxes, statutory deductions, and other local payroll mandates.

• Accurately generate and distribute payslips in a timely manner, ensuring payroll outputs are comprehensive, clear, and ready for audit.

• Prepare final calculations for departing employees, encompassing separation-related computations and any necessary supporting payroll documentation.

• Maintain payroll processing systems and records by accurately gathering, calculating, validating, and inputting employee data.

• Create payroll reports for record-keeping, internal review, and client reporting needs.

• Possess a strong working knowledge of Mexico's payroll regulations, statutory filing mandates, social security responsibilities, local tax obligations, and payroll compliance processes.

• Register and deregister employees for statutory social benefits with relevant local authorities, ensuring proper processing of employee lifecycle events.

• Manage statutory processing, including monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings as necessary.

• Ensure adherence to electronic payroll stamping and CFDI requirements in Mexico.

• Utilize Mexico payroll systems and local platforms such as SUA, SIPARE, and IDSE, as applicable.

• Maintain accurate and audit-ready payroll records, ensuring that documentation aligns with local regulatory and internal governance standards.

• Stay informed about regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders and clients as needed.

• Act as a payroll contact for assigned Mexico payroll clients, addressing inquiries regarding wages, deductions, attendance, time records, and payroll outputs.

• Provide clear explanations and detailed payroll breakdowns to clients and internal stakeholders when necessary.

• Collaborate with client HR and finance teams to gather, validate, and rectify payroll inputs before processing deadlines.

• Escalate complex payroll inquiries, compliance risks, payroll errors, or service risks in a structured and timely manner.

• Assist in new client onboarding and go-live activities by leveraging Mexico payroll expertise and validating payroll setup requirements.

• Conduct pre- and post-payroll checks to identify and address discrepancies prior to finalizing payroll outputs.

• Ensure accurate updates of employee data in payroll and employee databases.

• Uphold the confidentiality of employee pay records and payroll data at all times.

• Maintain and refresh Mexico payroll SOPs, run guides, and internal knowledge databases with process and regulatory updates.

• Identify manual inefficiencies, recurring issues, or control gaps and offer recommendations for process improvement, standardization, automation, or enhanced backup coverage.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of direct payroll processing experience, with a solid understanding of Mexico payroll requirements.

• In-depth knowledge of statutory filing obligations in Mexico, including payroll-related taxes, social security, and employee lifecycle duties.

• Experience with SUA, SIPARE, and IDSE in Mexico.

• Proven track record in ensuring compliance with electronic stamping and CFDI requirements in Mexico.

• Strong familiarity with payroll regulations in Mexico and the capability to accurately apply legislative requirements in payroll processing.

• Proficient in using payroll-related systems and software, with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.

• Comfortable working remotely and independently, managing multiple payroll cycles and client deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain payroll issues to non-payroll stakeholders.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems; experience with cloud-based payroll or HRIS platforms is a plus.

• Comfortable utilizing AI-assisted tools and open to continuous learning as the team and function evolve.

• **Preferred**

• Bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma, or professional degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Experience in a payroll bureau, outsourced payroll, EOR, global payroll services, or multi-client payroll environment.

• Familiarity with supporting payroll audits, statutory reviews, or internal control processes.

• Experience in client onboarding, go-live activities, payroll configuration validation, or payroll transition projects.

• Background in documenting payroll SOPs, run guides, controls, and country knowledge materials.

• Exposure to regional backup models or cross-country payroll support in Latin America is an advantage.
